Hi, I am an experienced classical violinist, pianist and composer. I like to compose modern tonal classical music that betrays a touch of Jazz influence. I have always been fascinated with harmonic language of Jazz.
Tuition in violin, piano, guitar, theory and composition given. If you are in the Northern Rivers of NSW I can come to you. Online tuition can also be arranged.

My musical life began playing the guitar in a rock band and for school musicals. I met a former Sydney Symphony violinist called Gwen Grant when doing a show and asked her to teach me the violin, I began to teach myself the piano. In a couple of years I won a scholarship to study at Sydney Conservatorium of Music and went on to complete a DSCM in Performance in 1987. A further scholarship to the ABC Sinfonia - the National Training orchestra followed. This began a period as a freelance violinist working with groups such as The Elizabethan Sinfonietta and the Sydney Philharmonia.
Orchestras such as The Hunter Orchestra, Willoughby Orchestra and Wollongong Orchestra formed the core of a busy playing life. Having moved to the Northern Rivers region of NSW in 2008 I have devoted my time to composing and teaching as well as contributing to the Lismore Symphony Orchestra.
